Welcome to the Armed Forces Service Center web site. Through the efforts of AFSC, thousands of active duty military travelers have a place to call home at the Military Hospitality Lounge at Miami International Airport.
The facility is celebrating its 10th year of service to the members of our military. It was opened several years ago, replacing the USO lounge that was a victim of budget cuts in 1999. Now funded entirely by individual and corporate donations, and manned by an all-volunteer corps of hosts and hostesses, the AFSC Military Hospitality Lounge, needs your help to keep its worthwhile efforts going.
The facilities are provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department and the Miami-Dade County Commission. However, normal operating costs (such as food and beverages, supplies, equipment and related expenses) must be covered by outside sources.
Whether you are a patriotic American, a veteran, an active duty armed forces member, or just wish to say “thanks for your service” please make a donation of any size today by clicking on the “Donate Now” button located on each page of this site. If you want to find out more about volunteering click on “Volunteer” just below the picture at the top of this page.
The AFSC is a recognized 501C charity and 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go toward the operational expenses for the lounge.
